HCIG participates in ISSS-2023
The 12th International Symposium on Steel Structures (ISSS-2023) was held in South Korea from November 8 to 11. Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), as the only enterprise representative in China, participated in the symposium.
This symposium attracted more than 300 experts and scholars from over ten countries and regions, including China, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. 4 reports were given in main venues and 32 reports in sub-venues, covering the latest research progress and engineering applications of new steel structural materials, inter-module connection, structural systems, modular structures, large-span spatial structures, and bridge structures.
Wang Xiaoxiang, a doctor of the postdoctoral research workstation in the group, presided over the 21st session as the chairman of the session and gave an English report titled “Research on a New Construction-Error-Allowed Inter-Module Connection in Modular Steel Buildings”.
Dr. Zhong Xu made an English report on “Conceptualization and Technical Discussion of Modular Integrated Construction Based on Sparse-component Frames”. They elaborated on the research progress and achievements of the group in the new inter-module connection in modular steel buildings and the modular integrated construction based on sparse-component frames, which attracted the widespread attention and led to a heated discussion.
During the symposium, representatives of the group participated in parallel learning sessions in different sub-venues based on their personal expertise. They had extensive and in-depth exchanges with the participating experts from various countries, laying a solid foundation for future international cooperation.
