Cai Dianwei visits Iceland
From July 6 to 8 local time, Jiang Difei, vice governor of Hunan province, visited Iceland with the Hunan provincial economic and trade delegation.
In order to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in urban and rural construction in the new era, Hunan and Iceland deepened their exchanges and cooperation in fields such as construction industrialization, infrastructure, and equipment manufacturing.
As a member of the delegation, Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), attended high-level meetings, conducted on-site inspections, and engaged in discussions and exchanges, together with relevant personnel from Hunan Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., and SHICO of HCIG.
On the afternoon of July 6, Cai Dianwei, along with the delegation, conducted an on-site inspection of prefabricated buildings and steel-structure residential projects in Reykjavik of Iceland. They observed the construction process of hotels and residential projects implemented in accordance with European quality and management standards. Subsequently, they had discussions and exchanges with senior executives of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Iceland and representatives of its construction industry enterprises to learn about Iceland’s development and potential cooperation opportunities in such fields as green and low-carbon buildings, new energy development and utilization, and the local engineering contracting market.
On the morning of July 7, Cai Dianwei, Tang Xiuguo, president of Sany, and Sany’s sales team of Nordic market held discussions on the development of Sany’s overseas business and intelligent construction sector. Cai Dianwei introduced the overall situation of the new construction industrialization field of HCIG and exchanged views on the “National Research Platform for Prefabricated Buildings” project in Hunan jointly built with Sany and Central South University.
On the morning of July 8, Cai Dianwei visited He Rulong, ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Iceland, with the delegation. They discussed the friendly cooperation among Hunan Province, HCIG, and Iceland.
And then, they visited the deputy mayor of Kopavogur in Iceland and discussed the opportunities for cooperation in fields such as intelligent construction, environmental high-tech, new energy development and utilization, and infrastructure construction driven by the hotel industry.
The delegation has known more about the development concepts of urban-rural integration and green low-carbon buildings in developed regions of Europe through a series of activities. In the future, HCIG will continue to enhance its core technological competitiveness, and accelerate the deployment of new quality productive forces to promote construction industrialization, digitization, and green development, contributing to the high-quality development of the construction industry.
