Recently, a special New Year celebration was held by Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (HNCEG) Rajshahi WASA Surface Water Treatment Plant Project Management Office in Bangladesh for Chinese and Bangladeshi employees and their families in a bid to allow them to experience the culture of China and Bangladesh and welcome the new year together.

A strong Chinese New Year atmosphere permeated the air. Bangladeshi employees and their families first sang local New Year songs to express their expectations and blessings for the new year. Bangladeshi families painted exquisite patterns on the arms of Chinese employees with Mehend (the art of colored painting), which symbolize “joy, blessings, and auspiciousness”, and everyone present felt the charm of cross-culture. During the New Year’s event, New Year gifts were distributed to all Bangladeshi employees and their families, allowing them to feel the love and care of Chinese enterprises in the festival.

In the future, the Project Management Office will promote localized development according to local conditions, organize cross-cultural exchanges through traditional festivals, and tell stories about the friendships of people of the countries along the “Belt and Road”, contributing to the improvement of international image and global development of the group.
