The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) opened in Beijing on the morning of September 5.

More than 3,200 Chinese and foreign guests from all walks of life, including heads of governments, and delegation leaders from African member countries of FOCAC as well as heads of international and regional organizations, attended the opening ceremony. Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), was also invited to attend it.

As the largest foreign economic enterprise in Hunan Province, HCIG has contracted and participated in the construction of a number of landmark classic projects in Africa since the late 1950s, such as the China-aided Competitive Wrestling Stadium project in Senegal, the China-aided Presidential Palace project in Burundi, and the No.1 National Highway project in the Republic of Congo, which have become a new engine for the economic development of their host countries, improved local people’s livelihood, and helped the group establish a good reputation.

Next, relying on the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and the China-Africa Deep Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone, HCIG will select outstanding employees, integrate factor resources, and lay out overseas markets scientifically to build it into a world-class construction investment enterprise, demonstrating the responsibility of Hunan’s state-owned enterprises in the win-win cooperation between China and Africa.
