Cai Dianwei attends 8th Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs
The 8th Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs opened at the China National Convention Center on the morning of September 6.
As an important supporting event for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, about 1,000 African leaders, representatives of Chinese and African entrepreneurs, and representatives of relevant international organizations and institutions participating in the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation attended the opening ceremony, including Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG).
During the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, Cai Dianwei visited the delegation of the Kenyan government, and held business talks with the delegation led by the Kenyan Minister of Water Resources on key projects in the hope of achieving greater cooperative results.
The Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs has been held for 7 sessions since its inception in 2003. It is the highest-level economic and trade event for the business communities in China and Africa under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and an important institutional platform for China and Africa to further expand economic and trade cooperation and promote the comprehensive development of China-Africa economic and trade relations.
This conference, jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Ministry of Commerce, mainly consisted of the opening ceremony, keynote speeches, and closing ceremony. It aimed to expand cooperation in the economic and trade fields between China and Africa.
Representatives from enterprises of traditional industries such as energy mining and infrastructure as well as emerging industries such as electronic technology, communication satellites, and biomedicine participated in the conference. There were also representatives of well-known leading enterprises as well as many small and medium-sized enterprises from various sectors in China and Africa.
