Chairman Cai visits Oman for business and safety construction

From September 4 to 7 local time, Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), led a team to Oman to carry out a series of business activities, inspect the group's operations in Oman, supervise project construction, visit front-line employees, and put forward work requirements.

On the morning of September 4, Cai Dianwei met with Mansour Talib Ali Al Hinai, chairman of Authority for Public Services Regulation and deputy chairman of Oman Tender Board, to exchange ideas on long-term cooperation achievements and future cooperation plans.

Mansour Talib Ali Al Hinai said that Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation of HCIG has demonstrated its reliability in multiple projects in Oman, especially the Reinforcement of Alsharqiya Water Transmission System project, which has won high praise from the owner NWS and local residents. 

He looked forward to further deepening cooperation between the two sides in professional fields such as electricity, water conservancy, new energy, and sewage treatment in the future.

The Authority for Public Services Regulation will actively support HCIG in expanding its business in Oman and work together to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

Cai Dianwei thanked the director of the Authority for Public Services Regulation for his trust and support over the years, and introduced the development status and core advantages of the group. 

He pointed out that the construction achievements of the cooperation between the group and Oman are a vivid manifestation of the profound friendship between China and Oman. HCIG will continue to leverage its professional advantages and capabilities to complete the construction of Water Distribution Networks for Villages in Wilayat Samail and Izki, as well as the construction of Water Distribution Networks for Al-Mudhaibi Wilayat in North Al Sharqiyah with high quality and efficiency.

HCIG will further strengthen cooperation with the Authority for Public Services Regulation, contribute to the rapid development of Oman, and promote the revitalization of Oman's beautiful blueprint and people's livelihood development.

On the afternoon of September 4, Cai Dianwei held discussions with Ali Mohammed Zahir Al Abri, deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources to explore cooperation in such fields as water conservancy and new energy.

Ali Mohammed Zahir Al Abri said that there is broad future cooperation space and promising prospects between Oman and HCIG, considering the the long-lasting friendship between China and Oman and the steady development results HCIG has achieved in Oman with its professional strength. 

Oman highly values and welcomes enterprises like HCIG to participate in the country's infrastructure construction and economic development process for its comprehensive strength, professional skills, and international visions. 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources is very willing to provide support and jointly explore cooperation and development under new models.

Cai Dianwei briefly introduced the main business sectors and development scale of the group, with a focus on the group's business situation and core advantages in the fields of water conservancy, hydropower, and new energy. 

He said that HCIG has actively advanced the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Oman's government departments and enterprises. 

Cai Dianwei hoped that on the basis of steadily promoting existing cooperation projects, the two sides would further enhance exchanges and understanding, seek more potential cooperation opportunities, and jointly promote the sustainable development of related undertakings in Oman.

On September 5, Cai Dianwei and his delegation inspected the construction of Water Distribution Networks for Villages in Wilayat Samail and Izki. They visited the project's construction site and listened to the progress, safety and quality management of the project. 

At the meeting, he highly affirmed the project construction work, and, on behalf of the group, expressed sincere gratitude to the employees in Oman.

On September 6, Cai Dianwei attended the launching ceremony of the office of the HCIG's presence in Oman.

The office of HCIG in Oman is jointly established by SHICO and Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation, which will serve as a “leader” in exploring the Oman market. 

Focusing on the economic and social development and livelihood improvement needs of Oman, the office will focus on expanding business in local water, electricity, new energy and other sectors, providing one-stop investment, construction and operation services, and coordinating the efforts of various business sectors such as housing construction, roads, bridges and tunnels within the group to expand markets in Oman and even in the Middle East.

On September 7, Cai Dianwei and his team held a meeting with some managers of JINNAN MIDDLE EAST MINING LLC Oman Sohar Concentration Plant Project and Temporary Buildings(Camp) Works of Zhongke Shinzoom Sohar Anode Material Project in Oman.

They discussed the progress of the project construction and the current difficulties, and both expressed that they would prioritize project safety and quality management, continue to strengthen communication and collaboration, further promote resource sharing, jointly address possible difficulties and challenges, and work together to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

In addition, Cai Dianwei and his delegation also visited the JINNAN MIDDLE EAST MINING LLC Oman Sohar Concentration Plant Project, undertaken by Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation.

Representatives from the International Cooperation Department of the group, Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation and SHICO also attended.
