MD. Firoj Mahmud, deputy secretary general of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of Bangladesh, visited Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) together with the delegation from the Rajshahi WASA Surface Water Treatment Plant project in Bangladesh for communication on the morning of February 23. Liu Yiqi, deputy general manager of HCIG, warmly greeted them.

Philoz Mahmoud expressed gratitude for the warm reception of HCIG and highly praised the group’ strong comprehensive strength and technological advantages. He said that the Rajshahi WASA Surface Water Treatment Plant project is one of the key livelihood projects in Bangladesh. Since the implementation of the project, both sides have established sufficient mutual trust for sincere cooperation. It’s hoped that HCIG will continue to promote the project construction process safely and efficiently, and actively participate in the cooperation in various fields between China and Bangladesh based on the economic and social development needs of Bangladesh.

Liu Yiqi thanked the local government for the concern and support for the implementation of the group’s project in Bangladesh. He said that Bangladesh is a key market for the group, and the group will work together with Bangladesh to promote the high-quality implementation of the Rajshahi WASA Surface Water Treatment Plant project and solve the problem of safe water use in the Rajshahi area as soon as possible. In the future, the group will continue to cultivate the Bangladeshi market under the guidance of the local government and build more high-quality, sustainable, and beneficial projects for the local economic and social development.

In addition, both sides had in-depth exchanges on project construction progress, technical scheme optimization, and future cooperation planning.
