Transfer ceremony held for Youth Culture Palace project site in Algeria
The transfer ceremony for the China-aided Youth Culture Palace project site in Algeria was held in Baraki of Algiers on the morning of August 8 Algeria time. Soraya Mouloudji, minister of Culture and Arts of Algeria, and Li Jian, Chinese ambassador to Algeria, attended the ceremony.
The signing of the taking-over certificate marked the official launch of the project and the entry into the construction preparation stage. After completion, the project will become an iconic cultural and sports center in Algeria.
The project is located in Baraki, south of Algiers, the capital of Algeria, with a total land area of 98,600 square meters and a total construction area of 30,300 square meters. The proposed project comprises a multifunctional theater, a cultural and art center, a sports center, a swimming pool, a kindergarten, a youth hostel, administrative offices and auxiliary equipment rooms, and other ancillary facilities.
