Madagascar delegation visits HCIG

Hery Rasoamaromaka, governor of the Analamanga region in Madagascar, led a delegation to visit Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) on the morning of May 21.

Tan Ding, deputy secretary of the group's Party committee, vice chairman, and general manager, warmly welcomed them. Liu Yiqi, a member of the group's Party committee and deputy general manager, presided over the symposium.

Madagascar is located in the western Indian Ocean and is the fourth largest island country in the world. Its reserves of graphite and other minerals rank among the top in Africa, with an average annual sunshine of over 2,800 hours and abundant solar energy resources.

Hery Rasoamaromaka briefly introduced the specific situation in Madagascar and expressed gratitude for the warm reception from HCIG. He said that Madagascar is facing such difficulties as urban waste disposal and insufficient national power supply.

Therefore, the delegation aimed to seek investment cooperation in such fields as electricity, road and infrastructure construction, agricultural materials and minerals, so as to promote local industrial upgrading and green development.

He warmly welcomed HCIG to invest and develop in Madagascar, and they will provide excellent environment and high-quality services for the group and project construction.

Tan Ding welcomed the visit of the Madagascar delegation and briefly introduced the basic situation of the group and its international business, especially the expansion of the Madagascar market.

He said that HCIG has actively implemented the "Belt & Road" Initiative, served economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, and made positive efforts to promote the industrialization and modernization processes of several African countries.

He hoped to further enhance understanding and deepen mutual trust with the Analamanga region in Madagascar, and explore cooperation in multiple fields such as major infrastructure, airport and port development and industrial development, help promote local economic and social development and make due contributions to strengthening the friendship between China and Madagascar.

At the meeting, both sides focused on in-depth discussions on new energy development projects such as waste-to-energy projects, hoping to further enhance communication and cooperation, carry out practical cooperation, accelerate project construction, and achieve win-win development.

After the meeting, the delegation also visited the group's exhibition hall to gain a comprehensive understanding of the group's production and operation, project construction, brand reputation and other aspects.

Representatives from the Madagascar-China Belt & Road Promotion Association and the Madagascar-China Association, as well as heads of the group’s international cooperation department, Hunan No.4 Engineering Co., Ltd., SHICO and Hunan International Communications Economic Engineering Cooperation Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
