Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), led a team to Georgia from July 3 to 6 local time to carry out a series of business activities, investigate the group's institutions and project construction in Georgia, expand business markets, visit employees, and put forward work requirements.

On the morning of July 4, Cai Dianwei and his delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in Georgia and had a discussion and exchange with the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Zhou Qian.

Zhou Qian briefly introduced the current situation in Georgia, affirmed the achievements of HCIG in Georgia, and hoped that HCIG would continue to play its own advantages, actively participate in Georgia's construction, and help China and Georgia jointly advance the Belt and Road cooperation. The Embassy will continue to support HCIG in expanding Georgia's market, and help HCIG become stronger and larger.

Cai Dianwei said that HCIG attaches great importance to the Georgian market and will fully leverage its professional advantages to promote the operation and development of its institutions in Georgia under the guidance of the embassy, deepen cooperation with local high-quality enterprises, demonstrate the responsibility of a state-owned enterprise, serve the overall diplomatic and economic situation of the two countries, contributing to the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Georgia.

On the morning of July 4, in Tbilisi, Cai Dianwei witnessed the signing of Kvemo Kartli Road 15.8 Km Section Project and Steel structure processing and supply factory chain by Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd. (HNRB) and Georgian International Development LLC as well as Georgia 130MW Wind Power Project by SHICO, Hunan Construction Investment Water Conservancy Company and Dayu New Energy Limited.

At the signing ceremony, Cai Dianwei said that this signing is an important achievement of HCIG in deepening international cooperation along the “the Belt & Road” Initiative, which will strongly promote complementary advantages and coordinated development in new energy, infrastructure and other fields. 

HCIG hopes to deeply promote Georgia's economic and social development, continuously increase resource investment in related business fields, actively participate in promoting infrastructure construction and people's livelihood development, and inject new momentum into the friendly relations between the two countries.

On July 5, Cai Dianwei presided over a symposium for HCIG's institutions in Georgia, listened to the report on the group's operations in Georgia, visited employees, and put forward six requirements for doing a good job in the following work.

The first is to look from a big-picture perspective. We should deeply contribute to the Belt and Road cooperation and fully understand the far-reaching significance and core value of project construction.

The second is to ensure safety and quality. We should adhere to the safety and quality bottom line of Chinese enterprises and HCIG, strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the host country, respect local customs and habits, and make sure that not to cross the red line.

Thirdly, we must closely adhere to our goals and fulfill them earnestly, focus on key milestones, scientifically organize construction, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of construction tasks. We need to coordinate the three major elements of progress, quality, and cost, strengthen process control, and improve economic benefits of the project .

The fourth is to build potential energy and deepen development. We attach great importance to the potential construction of the group's business operation, further deepen market development based on existing projects, and adhere to the concept of "business is king".

The fifth is to act efficiently and to focus on achieving practical results as well, and to be good at summarizing. We should focus on building influential international engineering projects and key projects along the Belt and Road Initiative, give priority to scientific and technological innovation and the application of Chinese standards, and continue to build the core competitiveness of our company.

The sixth is is to cultivate teams. Every project should be taken as a cradle for talent growth, so as to cultivate cadres with both moral integrity and talent.

The Khevi-Ubisa Section of E60 Expressway Project, Georgia is the first major transportation artery that runs through the east and west, known as the "Project of the Century". 

The Georgia F2 project undertaken by HNRB, a subsidiary of the group, has set a record for overseas single projects of Hunan construction enterprises. The LOT3 project has the highest total amount of gravel piles in the Black Sea region. Both projects adopt European standards, and their successful implementation marks a historic leap for the group's overseas business.

During their stay in Georgia, Cai Dianwei and his delegation also went to the Georgia E60 Expressway F2 project, Khashuri Steel Beam Factory, and LOT3 project, which were constructed by HNRB, from Tbilisi to Lanchkhuti City. They inspected the construction results of completed projects and checked the progress of ongoing projects.

Cai Dianwei extended sincere condolences to the Chinese and foreign employees working on the front line, and demanded the project team to take the standards of the "Overseas Luban Award" as a benchmark, and to systematically sort out the details of the rectification based on the "zero-defect" concept. 

He emphasized that the LOT3 project, as the final control project of the E60 expressway, the team should promote key technological breakthroughs with high standards, especially the construction of the largest gravel pile in the Black Sea region, to make it a demonstration project for deepening China-Georgia friendship and contribute HCIG's strength to Georgia's economic development and infrastructure construction.

In addition, Cai Dianwei and his delegation also conducted on-site research on the planning and construction of key highway networks and urban infrastructure in Georgia.
