Recently, HNRB, a subsidiary of HCIG, and Rwanda-based Horizon Construction Ltd formed a consortium and successfully won the contract for the construction of deviation roads for the Prince House - Masaka Road Project in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. The project mainly involves the construction of eight sections of deviation roads in Kigali, with a total length of approximately 33.2 kilometers.

The project is a road improvement and upgrading project publicly tendered by the Government of Kigali. Upon completion, it will further improve Kigali’s road transportation network, enhance regional connectivity and transport services, and contribute to improving the urban traffic environment and promoting development along the routes. The project will be jointly implemented by the consortium, with both parties leveraging their respective strengths in construction management, technical planning and coordination, resource coordination, and local management to establish a collaborative and complementary working mechanism and ensure high-quality project delivery.

The successful bid marks another significant achievement for HNRB as it continues to deepen its presence in the East African market and actively participates in Rwanda’s infrastructure development. It further demonstrates HCIG’s comprehensive capabilities and brand influence in overseas road construction and lays a solid foundation for consolidating and expanding the Group’s presence in Rwanda and the broader East African market. HNRB will continue to uphold the principles of pragmatic cooperation, integrity in contract performance, and mutual benefit, actively participate in infrastructure development in Rwanda and across East Africa, continuously strengthen its international operations and localized project delivery capabilities, and further enhance HCIG’s overseas brand presence.
