HNRB and Hunan No.6 Win bid for Philippines Seismic Risk Reduction and Resilience Project

On May 15, HNRB received the Notice of Award from the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The consortium led by HNRB and comprising Hunan No.6 Engineering Co.,Ltd. successfully won the contract for the Philippines Seismic Risk Reduction and Resilience Project (PSRRRP) - Batch 4. This marks HNRB’s first overseas building construction project and represents a breakthrough for the company in expanding its international business into the building construction sector. The project also marks another significant achievement for HNRB in actively implementing HCIG’s overseas development strategy and working with fellow group companies to expand into international markets.

The project aims to strengthen the structural safety and seismic and disaster resilience of existing educational facilities, improve safety conditions at local schools in the Philippines, and enhance regional disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities, thereby contributing to the protection of the lives and safety of local teachers and students.

The successful bid also marks HNRB’s successful diversification into overseas building construction, further demonstrating HCIG’s comprehensive capabilities and brand influence in international engineering, as well as its strong competitiveness in international bidding. It also lays a solid foundation for the Group to further deepen its presence in Southeast Asia and actively participate in infrastructure development in the Philippines.

The project will be jointly implemented by HNRB and Hunan No.6 Engineering Co.,Ltd. through a consortium. The two parties will integrate their respective strengths in construction management, technical solutions and resource allocation, leveraging a collaborative mechanism based on complementary strengths to ensure high-standard and high-quality project delivery.
