HCIG signs multiple framework agreements in Macao
The 14th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum was held in Macao from June 1 to 2, at which Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. (HCIG) signed a number of framework agreements.
More than 3,000 industry representatives of more than 700 organizations from over 60 countries and regions participated in the forum. Cai Dianwei, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the group, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and witnessed the signing of the group.
Co-hosted by China International Contractors Association and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the forum will discuss green development, digital transformation, financial innovation and industrial chain cooperation with the theme of “Green Leading, Digital Intelligence Driving, Financial Empowerment and Win-win Cooperation”.
The host of the forum held a professional exhibition for the first time this year, to showcase the achievements of international cooperation in various industries in the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. Two theme forums and 10 parallel forums were held during the forum to give full play to the professional functions of the platform and deepen the exchange of international infrastructure construction.
With a novel design and ingenious layout, the exhibition hall of the group fully demonstrated the strong strength of the group’s construction industry chain integrating design, construction, operation, investment and financing as well as the overall development pattern of investment, construction, operation and trade established for international business, receiving wide attention from all walks of life.
Under the witness of Fang Qiuchen, president of China International Contractors Association, and Cai Dianwei, chairman of the group, Liu Yiqi, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Sino-Hunan Overseas Engineering and Development Co., Ltd., on behalf of the group, signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement of the Ground Centralized Photovoltaic Grid-connected Project in Guinea-Bissau with Augusto Poquena, minister of Energy Industry of Guinea-Bissau, and Liu Hang, deputy general manager of Beijing Xiaocheng Technology Co., LTD., and also signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Talent Training with Xin Xiuming, vice president of China International Contractors Association, at the signing ceremony of the forum on the afternoon of June 1.
The ground centralized photovoltaic grid-connected project is a livelihood project. After completion, it will supply electricity to the vast number of people in Mansoa of Guinea-Bissau, greatly improving the local economic development and people’s living conditions.
The “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Talent Training” will enhance in-depth cooperation in the cultivation and capacity building of talents in the international engineering industry, the development, application and promotion of international talent ability standards, and international business training, constantly promoting the professional and all-round development of practitioners, and the establishment of mutual trust for business cooperation between the two sides.
During his stay in Macao, Cai Dianwei also led a team to visit Yan Haiwen, president of the Hunan Fraternal Association of Macao. Yan Haiwen extended a warm welcome to Cai Dianwei and his delegation, and introduced the development history and achievements of Hunan Fraternal Association of Macao at the symposium. Cai Dianwei expressed his gratitude to the association for its contribution in uniting Hunan’s enterprises in Macao and promoting cooperation between Hunan and Macao.
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the construction of engineering projects in Macao and the cooperation on the development and construction of the whole industrial chain of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) in and outside Macao, and agreed that they will give full play to their respective advantages and carry out close cooperation on industrial investment, international engineering and international trade in the future.
Moreover, leaders of the Financial Management Department and International Cooperation Department of the group, Hunan No.6 Engineering Co. Ltd., Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Co., Ltd., Sino-Hunan Overseas Engineering and Development Co., Ltd., and Sino-Hunan Capital Holding Co., Ltd. participated in relevant activities.
