Maria Antonia Nerumba, governor of Bengo Province of Angola, and her delegation visited Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. (HCIG) on June 30. Cai Dianwei, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the group, warmly welcomed them.
 

 

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Angola. China-Angola relations have developed in a high level with deepening political mutual trust and traditional friendship. At present, the two sides have basically formed a cooperation pattern with diversified fields, rich levels and an open structure.

Maria Antonia Nerumba thanked the group for its warm reception. She said that Angola can be an important hub on the African continent, due to its superior strategic location. Bengo Province wants to work with HCIG to modernize its agriculture, infrastructure, minerals, new energy and other industries. Besides, it hopes to develop and consolidate cooperative relations with HCIG, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in international trade, technology and other fields, thus to build a shared and win-win future.
 

 

Cai Dianwei welcomed the visit of Governor Maria Antonia Nerumba and her delegation, and introduced the basic situation and main business of the group. He mentioned that the group has focused on building an industry chain integrating design, construction, operation, investment and financing around the construction industry, in a bid to build a world-class construction investment enterprise.

The group hopes to take this exchange as an opportunity to further enhance understanding and mutual trust with Bengo Province of Angola, explore multi-field cooperation in major infrastructure construction, resource development and international trade with Bengo Province of Angola, thus to boost local economic and social development, and open up new areas and make new contributions to China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

 

Governor Maria Antonia Nerumba and her delegation also visited the exhibition hall of the group before the meeting to gain an in-depth understanding of the group’s production, operation, project construction, brand honors and other aspects.
 
Leaders of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, Macao Zhishan Co., Ltd. and the Bureau of Commerce of Changde City accompanied the delegation in the visit and exchange. Besides, the responsible persons of the Marketing Department and International Cooperation Department of HCIG, Sino-Hunan Overseas Engineering and Development Co., Ltd., Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation Co., Ltd., and Hunan Construction Engineering Group No.2 Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
