On August 23, the list of 2023 ENR “Top 250 International Contractors” was released. Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd., subsidiaries of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), were on the list again, ranking 162nd and 165th respectively, rising 20 and 19 places compared with 2022.

The two enterprises have been continuously selected among the ENR Top 250 International Contractors and have improved their rankings, demonstrating HCIG’s strength and influence in the field of international project contracting, and laying a good foundation for opening up a broader global market in the future.

As the largest foreign economic enterprise and the leading unit of the “going out” strategic cooperation alliance in the construction industry in Hunan Province, the group has taken the initiative to integrate into the overall national development in recent years.

It has contributed to the construction of the “Belt and Road”, actively explored international engineering transformation, accelerated the construction of a new pattern of international business development integrating investment, construction, operation and trade, given full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain and multi business formats, and continuously expanded international business.

It has now developed into an important carrier for Hunan’s “going out” strategy and national production capacity cooperation.

The number of Chinese enterprises on the list increased by two compared with the previous year, continuing to top the rankings of all countries.

In terms of the total international turnover of those enterprises of different countries, the total international turnover of the Chinese enterprises in 2022 was US$117.93 billion, an increase of 4.4% year on year, accounting for 27.5% of the total international turnover of all the enterprises on the list.

In recent years, the number of enterprises on the list in China has continued to grow, and the overall business scale has maintained stable development, both continuing to rank first among enterprises in various countries, reflecting strong adaptability to the external environment and showing strong resilience of industry development.
