HCIG appears at 2023 Hunan (Huaihua) RCEP Economic and Trade Expo

The inaugural Hunan (Huaihua) RCEP Economic and Trade Expo, themed “New Cooperation, New Opportunities, New Future”, as well as the Forum for Western New Land-Sea Trade Corridor Boosting RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation was held in Huaihua from May 5 to 7.



 

Shao Hong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), announced the opening of the event.
 
 Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province, delivered a speech. Zhang Jian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and envoys to China from countries including South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Malaysia attended the opening ceremony.
 
Chen Hao, and Deng Jianying, members of the Party Committee and deputy general managers of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), represented the group and participated in the opening ceremony and other related activities.

 


 

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)came into effect on January 1, 2022. Currently, Hunan is strengthening its foreign trade cooperation with the member countries of RCEP.
 
 In 2022, Hunan’s imports and exports with other RCEP member countries reached 229.68 billion yuan, accounting for nearly one-third of the province’s total foreign trade value.
 
This expo featured 42 special booths and 89 standard booths, attracting more than 1,200 Chinese and foreign guests and 613 domestic and foreign companies to participate.

 


 

 According to statistics, in addition to Chinese enterprises, 112 companies from RCEP member countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Laos participated in the exhibition.
 
This event will provide a new cooperation platform for RCEP member countries to engage in international trade and showcase their development achievements. It will also serve as a new cooperation platform for provinces, cities, and regions along the Western New Land-Sea Trade Corridor as well as various cities and one prefecture within Hunan Province to seize RCEP implementation opportunities and deeply connect with the RCEP market.
 
In this grand event, the group’s exhibition hall was crowded and lively. The products showcasing new technologies and patents in the construction industry attracted numerous domestic and foreign experts and users. They highly praised the achievements of the innovative development and overseas business expansion of our group, making it one of the highlights of this exhibition.

 


 

On the morning of May 5, vice chairman Shao Hong, vice governor Zhou Haibing, and Zhang Xiang, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Provincial People’s Government, visited the Booth T17 of HCIG.

 

They learned about the group’s reform and development, the integration of industry and trade, and international trade, and applauded the remarkable development achievements made by the group in recent years.

To participate in this exhibition, the group carefully planned and arranged the exhibition work. They aimed to enhance the group’s visibility and influence and shape its corporate brand through this platform.

 


 

Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, HCIG has actively explored the path of international engineering transformation, continuously promoted various business models, fully leveraged the advantages of the entire industry chain and diversified business forms, and expanded the coverage of international business.
 
It has proposed an innovative model of “industry-trade integration” and accelerated the construction of a new pattern of international business development integrating investment, construction, operation, and trade.
 
Representatives from the International Cooperation Department of the group, as well as Sino-Hunan Overseas Engineering and Development Co., Ltd.  and Hunan International Communications Economic Engineering Cooperation Co., Ltd. participated in the exhibition activities.
