On November 20, 2023, Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd. (HNRB), a subsidiary of Hunan Construction Investment Group, was rated as an AAA Credit Grade Enterprise by China International Contractors Association in 2023, with a validity period of 3 years.

This is the seventh consecutive year that HNRB has received this highest credit rating, which fully demonstrates the company’s credit ability of overseas business, financial condition, overseas market development and project performance abilities, and comprehensive strength.

In recent years, HNRB has steadily increased newly signed overseas contracts and operating revenue by promoting overseas operation and production, and exploring the market of key countries along the “Belt and Road”.

Since the beginning of this year, HNRB has signed four new overseas projects with a total contract amount of 1.547 billion yuan (US$21.6955 million). Multiple overseas projects have won domestic and international awards. The Construction of the Obigarm - Tagikamar Road Section project in Tajikistan was rated as a typical case of foreign investment and economic cooperation in the construction industry of Hunan in 2022. The Benin Municipal Phase I project was included in the “Top 10 Projects” of China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation in Hunan from 2020 to 2022, and won the Quality Engineering Award in Hunan Province, and the Hunan Provincial Construction Project Furong Award. The Fajena-Omo Reservoir Highway project in Ethiopia was commended by the Prime Minister of the country. HNRB has been included on the list of ENR Top 250 International Contractors for six consecutive years, with its ranking increasing year by year.

At present, HNRB has four regional management centers overseas, namely Southeast Asia Regional Management Center (Manila, the Philippines), Central and North Asia Regional Management Center (Tbilisi, Georgia), East Africa Regional Management Center (Nairobi, Kenya), and Central and West Africa Regional Management Center (Cotonou, Benin), with its operations covering more than 30 surrounding countries. Its overseas business pattern has been basically formed.

The enterprise credit grade evaluated by China International Contractors Association is a credit name card for enterprises to do business abroad. It is a professional credit evaluation organized by the China International Contractors Association and conducted by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation. 

The initial evaluation is carried out every three years and a review is done every year. The evaluation indicators mainly include the comprehensive quality, competitiveness, financial status, and credit records of enterprises.

This year, there are a total of 117 AAA credit grade enterprises, with 62 AAA credit enterprises on the initial evaluation list and 55 on the review list.
