Hunan economic and trade delegation visits Serbia

In recent years, with the continuous deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership, China and Serbia have achieved fruitful cooperation in infrastructure, economic and trade investment, and other fields.

From November 24 to 27, Serbia Time, Jiang Difei, vice governor of Hunan Province, together with the economic and trade delegation, visited Serbia. Cai Dianwei, chairman of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), attended various activities like the high-level meeting, special meeting, economic and trade negotiation, and enterprise inspection.

On the afternoon of November 25 and 26, Serbia Time, the delegation visited Chinese-funded enterprises in Serbia, including China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) Serbia Company and Eurasian Regional Headquarters of Power Construction Corporation of China. They held a discussion with relevant leaders to gain detailed information of the production and operation of central enterprises in the Eurasian region, and exchanged experience with the representative enterprises.

On the morning of November 26, the delegation attended a symposium between Hunan enterprises and Chinese-funded enterprises stationed in Serbia. The symposium mainly focused on the cooperation between Hunan enterprises and Chinese-funded enterprises and related institutions stationed in Serbia to jointly promote the high-quality development of the construction industry in Hunan Province. At the meeting, the Hunan Construction Industry “Going Global” Strategic Cooperation Alliance signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Serbia.

On the morning of November 27, the delegation held a discussion with the leaders of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The two sides fully exchanged ideas on cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure construction, new energy development, and industrial parks, and reached a consensus on leveraging the role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a bridge to jointly strengthen the communication and liaison mechanism between bilateral enterprises and governments.

Subsequently, the delegation visited Tomislav Nikolić, chairman of the Serbian National Committee for Cooperation with China, for practical cooperation between the two sides in infrastructure fields such as construction, energy, and electricity.

Through the communication during this visit, the delegation gained a more intuitive understanding of the business environment and market opportunities in Serbia and neighboring Balkan countries. They established extensive contacts with Serbian government agencies, Chinese financial institutions, chamber of commerce, and enterprises, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions in multiple fields such as infrastructure, new energy, industrial parks, and logistics trade.

HCIG will transform the traditional friendship between the two countries into more new advantages and achievements, and make greater contributions to the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” based on its advantages in the whole industrial chain and alliance platform.
