SHICO signs EPC project in Kyrgyzstan
To help achieve the goal of “Three Hubs and Four New Missions”, and accelerate the construction of a hub for reform and opening up in inland areas, Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) has made active efforts to participate in the construction of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge and has achieved good results.
Recently, various units under HCIG teamed up to go global. SHICO, together with Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation and HCIG Design Holdings, signed the EPC project for Kyrgyzstan’s Eurasian Trade and Logistics Comprehensive Zone (Chuy), which marks their entry into the Central Asian housing construction market.
The project consists of a 2-million-square-meter commercial city, a 700,000-square-meter warehousing and logistics center, a large-scale equipment trading center, a bonded zone, and surrounding supporting residential facilities. The contract amount of the project (Phase I) is about US$ 482 million.
The project is intended to be designed and constructed according to Chinese standards. After being completed, it will further consolidate Kyrgyzstan’s position as an international trade and transportation hub in Central Asia.
