HCIG wins bid for PMU 275/132/33Kv Kuala Terengganu South project
Recently, Hunan Construction Engineering (M) SDN. BHD. and Hunan Bestall Water Conservancy Company, subsidiaries of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), have achieved continuous breakthroughs in the overseas market. They signed the EPC contract for the Establishment of PMU 275/132/33Kv Kuala Terengganu South project of the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) with the local company System Protection & Maintenance Sdn. Bhd.
The project is the first substation EPC project undertaken by HCIG in the Southeast Asian market.
The project is located in the southern part of Terengganu of Malaysia, with a total construction period of 29 months. It mainly includes the design, civil works, equipment procurement, installation and commissioning of 275kV AIS, 132kV AIS and 33kV GIS substations.
After completion, it will improve the overall power transmission quality and grid safety and stability of the region, ensuring the transmission of electricity in the local and surrounding areas, and further promoting local economic development.
The successful bidding of this project is another important business achievement for HCIG in Malaysia after its successful bid for the 45MW hydropower EPC project in Pahang this year. It is of great significance for the group to further consolidate its competitive advantages, enhance operational efficiency, and burnish its brand image in the power engineering field in the Southeast Asian market.
