HCIG ranks 162nd among top 500 Chinese enterprises
The list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises was released at the 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit Forum, hosted by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Entrepreneurs Association, held in Tianjin on September 11. Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) ranked 162nd on the list with a revenue of US $ 240.103 billion in 2023.

The forum, with the theme of “building more world-class enterprises”, consisted of a plenary session, parallel forums, theme activities, and a centralized signing ceremony, with more than 1,200 guests in attendance. During the event, government officials, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars from home and abroad had ample exchanges and discussions on topics such as sustainable development, digital transformation, digital future, green and low-carbon transformation, human resource digitization, strategic emerging industry development, health industry development, top 100 in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, science and technology finance, integrated development of port, industry and city, industrial revitalization, and the development of new-quality productivity.
The list of 2024 Top 500 Chinese Enterprises is based on the criteria of companies’ operating income in 2023. The overall scale reached a new level and the total operating income exceeded US $ 15.54 trillion, an increase of 1.58% over the total of top 500 enterprises in the previous year. The revenue threshold increased by over US $ 54.75 million from the previous year to nearly US $ 6.69 billion. The average R&D investment increased for the seventh consecutive year, with the total R&D investment of the listed companies accounting for 1.90% of their total operating revenue, the highest since 2002.
In 2023, HCIG undertook about US $ 42.906 billion of business and achieved the operating revenue of about US $ 240.103 billion as well as the total profit of about US $ 58.043 million, up 6.26%, 2.18%, and 12.29% year on year respectively. Meanwhile, the group won 8 new Luban Prizes and 17 new National Quality Engineering Awards, with a total of 149 Luban Prizes and 110 National Quality Engineering Awards.
