The 2022-2023 China National Quality Engineering Award Summary and Commendation Conference was held at the Beijing Conference Center on December 24, and Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) won 29 National Quality Engineering Awards for 17 projects.

Set up in 1981, the National Quality Engineering Award is the highest honor of national engineering quality involving multiple industries and disciplines in China. This award demonstrates the group’s spirit of excellence, innovation, sincerity and dedication. So far, the group has won a total of 110 national quality engineering awards for 72 projects over the years.

In recent years, the group has made efforts to create high-quality projects and achieved remarkable results, adding honor to the group.

This batch of award-winning projects involves a wider variety of fields, including public buildings, roads and bridges, municipal engineering, residential communities, rail transit, and flood control engineering.

The main award-winning projects are the Dispatching and Communication Building of Hunan Electric Power Company (Section I), Wuling Mountain Avenue Project in Zhangjiajie City, Detention Center Upgrading Project of Changsha City, New Campus Construction Project of Ningyuan County Vocational Technical Secondary School (EPC), Hangzhou Linjiang Environmental Energy Engineering Project, Zhangjiajie Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Construction Project, Zhuzhou Fourth Water Plant Expansion Project, East Hospital Phase I Project of Shaoyang Central Hospital, and Huxiang School Construction Project in Yuetang District, Xiangtan City.

Dispatching and Communication Building of Hunan Electric Power Company (Section I)

Primary applicant: Hunan Construction Engineering Group

The project is a multifunctional public building that integrates office, conference, and command. It is an important node of the Central China Power Grid and a key hub for power dispatching in Hunan Province.

Wuling Mountain Avenue Project in Zhangjiajie City

Primary applicant: Hunan Construction Engineering Group

Wuling Mountain Avenue is located in Yongding District and Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City. After it opened to traffic, it only takes 30 minutes from the city center to Wulingyuan Scenic Area. It is a backbone hub project to promote the rapid development of the tourism industry in Zhangjiajie and ensure the traffic supply of the city.

Detention Center Upgrading Project in Changsha City

Primary applicant: Hunan No.6 Engineering Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicants: Hunan Liujian Electromechanical Installation Co., Ltd. and Hunan Mechanized Construction Co., Ltd.

The project is a multifunctional modern building that integrates administrative office, accommodation, and catering, which provides a high-quality and comfortable office environment for disciplinary inspection and supervision officials at the provincial and municipal levels, and promotes the construction of political ecological civilization in Hunan Province.

New Campus Construction Project of Ningyuan County Vocational Technical Secondary School (EPC)

Primary applicant: Hunan No.6 Engineering Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicants: Hunan Liujian Lianfa Installation and Construction Co., Ltd. and Hunan Liujian Decoration Design Engineering Co., Ltd.

The project is the only secondary vocational school in Hunan Province built in accordance with the standards of a national demonstration secondary vocational school. It has become an important livelihood project for local people and contributes to the vocational education, education poverty alleviation, and industrial progress in China.

Hangzhou Linjiang Environmental Energy Engineering Project

Primary applicant: Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicant: Hunan Zhongxing Equipment Installation Engineering Co., Ltd.

The project includes six 870t/d grate incinerators, equipped with three 50MW steam turbine generator units, capable of processing 5,200 tons of household waste per day. It is a key livelihood project in Zhejiang Province and a guarantee project for the Asian Games. It is the second largest household waste incineration power plant in the world.

Zhangjiajie Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Construction Project

Primary applicant: Hunan No.5 Engineering Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicants: Hunan Tianyu Equipment Installation Co., Ltd. and Hunan Yiguang Decoration Upholstery Co., Ltd.

The project is a first-class comprehensive transportation hub of the Ministry of Transport that integrates passenger transportation, public transportation, and rail transit. It is the only super large comprehensive passenger transportation hub in Zhangjiajie City. It leverages the advantages of seamless transfer and rapid distribution of the smart hub, driving the development of local tourism economy.

Zhuzhou Fourth Water Plant Expansion Project

Primary applicant: Hunan No.5 Engineering Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicant: Hunan Tianyu Equipment Installation Co., Ltd.

The project is a modern and intelligent water supply plant with advanced domestic treatment technology and world-class equipment and facilities. Since its operation, the daily water supply capacity has exceeded 200,000 tons, meeting the water needs of 400,000 households and providing strong support for the high-quality development of urban construction in Zhuzhou.

East Hospital Phase I Project of Shaoyang Central Hospital

Primary applicant: Hunan No.3 Engineering Co., Ltd.

The project is a large-scale modern comprehensive hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and health care, opening up a new era of combining medical treatment and endowment with a people-oriented approach.

Huxiang School Construction project in Yuetang District, Xiangtan City

Primary applicant: Hunan No.3 Engineering Co., Ltd.

Secondary applicant: Hunan Huayi Architectural Decoration and Decoration Co., Ltd.

The project, located in the east of Huxiang Park in Xiangtan City, is a modern school that integrates education and scientific research. A first-class school with excellent educational and teaching quality and extensive influence within the province will be built.
