Recently, the “Xin Da Qiang” cargo ship loaded with 89 sets of Jinlinjia modular boxes of Zhongxiang Intelligent Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hunan Construction Investment Group, departed from Shanghai Port and sailed to the headquarters of Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant project in Bangladesh, marking the first time for the Jinlinjia modular building system of Zhongxiang Intelligent Construction to go abroad, which is also the result of the high-quality transformation development for Zhongxiang Intelligent Construction to promote the national co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Rajshahi Surface Water Treatment Plant project in Bangladesh is one of the key projects for the Belt and Road cooperation, an important livelihood project of the Bangladesh government, and the largest project with the Government Concessional Loan and Preferential Buyer’s Credit undertaken by Hunan enterprises overseas. 

With the EPC contract amount of US$ 325 million, it was proposed to be built into a water treatment plant with a water treatment capacity of 200,000 cubic meters per day and supporting pipeline facilities. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the local water quality and ensure that one million local residents have access to safe drinking water, which is of great significance for promoting local economic development, enhancing people’s well-being, and protecting environment.The “Xin Da Qiang” cargo ship will pass through Dongguan Port in China, Klang Port in Malaysia, and Kolkata Port in India, and finally arrive at Chittagong Port in Bangladesh in a total of 25 days. 

The cargo ship, as one of the special heavy lift vessels of COSCO, has transported super large diameter shield tunneling machines and high-speed EMUs. 

Since its operation, the Jinlinjia Modular Building Production Base has introduced intelligent welding robots, intelligent paving robots, intelligent profile processing lines, and intelligent module production lines to create an intelligent management platform integrating PCS, MES, ERP based on such technologies as intelligent robots, the Internet of Things, human-machine collaboration, data interconnection and digitization. 

It aims to be built into the first intelligent modular building production base in Hunan Province in a bid to promote lean manufacturing of building components and cost decreasing as well as benefit increasing in factories.

The base has improved the level of green construction and operation by integrating the concept of green industrialization into the entire process of project planning, design, production, implementation, and operation.

With the cutting-edge technologies, China’s modular building products will be shown to the countries along the Belt and Road.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and also the first year for the Jinlinjia modular building production base to be put into operation.
