Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Maldives visits HCIG
Mohamed Ameen, minister of the Transport and Civil Aviation of the Maldivian Government, visited Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) on September 26. Cai Dianwei, chairman of HCIG, warmly greeted him and they exchanged ideas on further cooperation.
Mohamed Ameen expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of HCIG and introduced the basic situation of the Maldives and its Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
He stated that China and the Maldives have reached a consensus on bilateral cooperation in such areas as green development and infrastructure construction. Tourism is the largest economic pillar of the Maldives, China is one of the important tourist markets, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries are increasingly close.
He mentioned that the engineering projects built by HCIG in the Maldives have high quality and are highly recognized by the Maldivian government, winning excellent reputation and credibility among the public for the group. Colleagues from HCIG overcame difficulties and made positive contributions to the economic and social development of the Maldives, helping form a deep bond between the two sides.
In the future, he hoped that both sides can have more practical cooperation in such fields as infrastructure and livelihood projects in the Maldives, and more high-quality projects can be implemented.
Cai Dianwei welcomed the visit of Mohamed Ameen and his delegation to HCIG, expressed gratitude to the Maldivian government and relevant departments for their long-term trust and support, and briefly introduced the basic situation of the group and its business in the Maldives.
He stated that HCIG has the advantages of a full industry chain and multiple business forms, and can provide integrated services throughout the entire industry chain. It has been selected as one of the top 250 ENR international contractors for five consecutive years and is an honest and trustworthy partner.
He mentioned that he attended the China-Maldives investment forum in January this year and paid a visit to president of the Republic of Maldives Mohamed Muizzu.
The president highly praised HCIG’s excellent projects built in the Maldives over the years and highly recognized the willingness of both sides to further deepen cooperation. It is expected that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in more areas, better serve the economic and social development of the Maldives, and contribute to the high-quality development of the “the Belt and Road”.
