HNRB wins bid for Metro Manila Bridges Project

On December 18, Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd.(HNRB), a subsidiary of Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG), won a bid for Metro Manila Bridges Project, Bridge No.1: Marcos Highway-St. Mary Avenue Bridge, with a contract amount of approximately US $ 25.737 million.

This project, located in Metro Manila of the Philippines, spans the Marikina River, with a total length of 1606.3 meters. It mainly includes construction and completion of the two-lane bridge and road in Marcos Highway-St. Mary Avenue etc., with a planned construction period of 30 months.

This project lies in a dense traffic area for its adjacent to SM Mall. After the completion, it will connect Marikina and Pasig in Metro Manila, which can alleviate traffic pressure along the route, shorten travel time for commuters, and facilitate the transportation of goods to promote the local economic development.

In recent years, HNRB has continued efforts to enhance its core competitiveness and international management capabilities so as to increase its reputation in bridge construction. In 2020, it won the bid for the Camalaniugan Bridge project in the Philippines, which was the first of its kind overseas.

The bid this time will promote the sustainable operation of the group in the Philippine market, improve its technical level, management experience, as well as market operation capabilities, and provide multiple supports for the groups bridge construction technology export and market expansion.
