Concrete placement of waste-to-power plant in Bishkek done
Recently, the mass concrete pouring for the foundation slabs of the waste pond and the leachate pond in the main plant of the Bishkek City waste incineration power generation project of Kyrgyz Republic, was completed.
The project, located in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyz Republic, is undertaken by Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hunan Construction Investment Group, with a total pouring volume of about 1,856 cubic meters. The pouring work was done 15 days ahead of schedule.
The structure of the slab of the garbage pond is complex, causing great construction difficulty. To prevent the cracking of the pool caused by excessive hydration heat of the large volume concrete in the early stage, the concrete mixing technology is required in the concrete configuration.
However, there is no relevant technical experience in Kyrgyzstan. And the harsh local climate, tight concrete supply, and difficult transportation conditions have also brought numerous challenges to the progress of construction.
The project team made efforts to solve problems such as technical support for concrete configuration, material supply guarantee and insulation control measures.
At the construction site, project management personnel, owner engineers and workers worked in shifts to ensure the smooth completion of the concrete pouring task.
This project is a key livelihood project in the local area, involving multiple sub projects, including garbage reception, storage, leachate collection and transportation, installation and ancillary works.
Once completed, it’s of great significance for improving the local ecological environment and improving people’s living standards.
