Recently, the Hunan Construction Engineering Group, a subsidiary of Hunan Construction Investment Group, won the bid for the waterflooding and expansion,  engineering and installation works of Missan Oilfield in Iraqi undertaken by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd..

The project is located in Missan Governorate in the southeast of Iraq, with the waterflooding and expansion, as well as technical renovation and expansion of existing facilities in the oilfield groups. 

Missan oilfield is a large-scale oilfield in Iraq with a capacity of 100 million tons. This project will reduce equipment failures, improve the efficiency of the degassing station, ensure that the products refined from crude oil comply with environmental protection and quality standards, so as to help promote local economic development.

This project is an important achievement the group has made in expanding the Iraqi market, which will further enhance the group's industry competitiveness and brand influence, and have positive significance for further deepening operations in the Middle East market.
