Timor-Leste delegation visits HCIG
Tomás do Rosário Cabral, Minister of State Administration, Sérgio de Jesus Fernandes da Costa Hornai, Minister of Justice, Maubere Lorosae Da Silva Horta, Ambassador to China, led a team to visit Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) on the afternoon of September 25.

Cai Dianwei, chairman of HCIG, warmly welcomed them. Ni Donghai, first class inspector of Industry and Information Technology Department of Hunan Province, and Chen Hao, deputy general manager and chief quality officier of HCIG, attended.
Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste is located at the eastern end of the Nusa Tenggara Islands in Southeast Asia, with a population of approximately 1.4 million. It is rich in oil, natural gas, and coffee resources and is striving to achieve economic diversification and deeper regional integration.
During Malaysia's tenure as the rotating chairman of ASEAN, the country will officially become the 11th member of ASEAN at the 47th ASEAN Summit.
Tomás do Rosário Cabral, Sérgio de Jesus Fernandes da Costa Hornai and their delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception of HCIG, and talked about the long-standing good cooperative relationship between Timor-Leste and Hunan, with increasingly close exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
Currently, Timor-Leste is actively promoting its national development strategy and welcomes HCIG to visit Timor-Leste to explore investment opportunities in mining, agriculture, and tourism.
They looked forward to deepening communication with HCIG in international trade, new energy, infrastructure construction, and other fields, establishing a long-term stable partnership, and jointly promoting the implementation and operation of more practical projects that benefit both countries.
Cai Dianwei welcomed the visit of them, and introduced the overall development of the group and the advantages of the entire industry chain.
He said that the two countries have profound traditional friendship and are important partners in jointly building the “the Belt and Road” Initiative. In recent years, there have been frequent high-level visits between the two sides, with increasingly deepening bilateral cooperation.
Hunan and Timor-Leste have high complementarity in resource endowment, industrial structure, and other aspects, with broad prospects for cooperation.
HCIG is a provincial state-owned enterprise that is trustworthy, committed and responsible. It attaches great importance to cooperation and exchanges with Southeast Asia, and is willing to give full play to its professional advantages, participate in the national development planning of Timor Leste in accordance with the law and regulations, and carry out practical cooperation, so as to help the two countries achieve more practical results and reach higher quality development under the framework of jointly advancing the “the Belt and Road” cooperation.
Officials from the Ministry of Administration, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste in China, Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Office of Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, as well as representatives of provincial international friendly exchanges, and officials of Zhuzhou Women's Federation attended.
The executive managers from the International Cooperation Department of HCIG, Hunan No.3 Engineering, SHICO, and Hunan Construction Engineering Group No.2 Co., Ltd. were also present.
