Hunan CPPCC delegation visits HCIG
Li Min, vice chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a delegation to visit Hunan Construction Investment Group (HCIG) for a survey on “accelerating the development of new barter trade and promoting deep economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Africa” on March 5. Cai Dianwei, chairman of HCIG, was present.
The delegation has a detailed understanding of the business development of HCIG, listened to relevant opinions and suggestions, highly praised HCIG’s contributions to promoting Hunan-Africa economic and trade cooperation and serving the national strategic situation. It’s suggested that the group should continue to leverage its advantages in funds, technology, management, etc., to improve its international business level, accelerate the layout of overseas warehouses and cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service platforms, drive more Hunan enterprises to enter Africa, and play a greater role in serving the construction of a new development pattern and implementing major national strategies.
As a backbone state-owned enterprise and the largest foreign economic enterprise in Hunan Province, HCIG has deeply integrated into the “Belt and Road” Initiative, and actively participated in China-Africa economic and trade practical cooperation. It has carried out international projects and international trade business in more than 50 countries and regions around the world, with its business covering trade, infrastructure, people’s livelihood and other fields.
In terms of international projects, it has created many landmarks of China-Africa friendship, such as the China-aided Competitive Wrestling Stadium project in Senegal, the China-aided Presidential Palace project in Burundi and For Supply and Installation of Materials & Equipment under the National Electrification Scheme (NES) in Ghana.
As for international trade, it has fully stimulated foreign trade, and continued to expand barter trade cooperation in African countries such as Nigeria, Angola and Mali.
Next, HCIG will continue to improve the level and quality of economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, and make contributions to promoting deep economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Africa, and helping Hunan build a new highland for opening up in inland areas.
