Located in the eastern part of the Fergana Valley, Andijan Region covers an area of about 4,200 square kilometers. Its capital, Andijan City, is one of Uzbekistans key industrial and agricultural centers, renowned for energy extraction, machinery manufacturing, and high-quality agricultural products. As a vital hub along the ancient Silk Road, the region leverages its strategic location to actively integrate into the Belt and Road Initiative.

Governor Abdurakhmanov expressed his gratitude for HCIGs warm reception and spoke highly of the Groups strong global capabilities in infrastructure development. He noted that Uzbekistan and China have long maintained a close and friendly partnership, yielding fruitful cooperation in various sectors. As the first hub station of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway and a key node along the Belt and Road, Andijan is poised to develop into an important inland port. Since the launch of Uzbekistans reform and opening-up policy in 2016, the countrys investment environment has continued to improve, with Chinese enterprises playing an increasingly important role in local economic growth. He welcomed HCIG to visit Andijan for investment opportunities and to actively participate in local infrastructure projects, advancing more practical cooperation projects that benefit both countries.

Chairman Cai Dianwei extended a warm welcome to Governor Abdurakhmanov and his delegation, and introduced HCIGs overall development and full industrial chain advantages. He emphasized that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China and Uzbekistan have elevated their bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era. The Belt and Road Initiative is now deeply aligned with Uzbekistans “New Uzbekistan” development strategy. HCIG attaches great importance to practical cooperation with Uzbekistan; in August, the Group joined the Hunan Provincial Government delegation to Uzbekistan to explore collaboration opportunities in infrastructure, new energy, and international trade—laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. As a trustworthy and contract-abiding state-owned enterprise, HCIG will, under lawful and government-supported conditions, assign capable teams and high-quality resources to contribute to the economic and social development of Uzbekistan and Andijan Region.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in China, as well as executives from HCIGs International Cooperation Department, HIEICO and SHICO.
